Cleaning Cartridge Instructions for Echo 7, 9, 9 Ultra, H2, Ultimate Machine.

Please see the instructions below for each of the machines that you can clean with the cleaning cartridge.

Echo 7: Video

1. Remove the O-Ring of the bottom insert on the Cleaning Cartridge. 

2. Remove the main filter. Install a cleaning cartridge in place of the main filter. 

3. Run filtered water only until the water comes out the top of the machine and then let the machine sit Overnight. 

4. Replace the main filter. Run filtered water through the machine for 3 minutes.

Echo 9: Video

1. Remove the main filter. Install cleaning cartridges in place of the main filter. 

2. Run filtered water only until the water comes out the top of the machine and then let the machine sit Overnight.

3. Replace the main filter. Run filtered water through the machine for 3 minutes. 

Echo 9 Ultra:

1. Remove the main filter. Install a cleaning cartridge in place of the main filter. 

2. Access the PWM settings by pressing the settings button for a few seconds. (You do not need water running through the machine to access the power settings) A hidden screen will open. 

3. Write down the power settings for Level 4 alkaline and Level 4 acid (this will enable you to set them back after the cleaning process is complete).

4  After writing down the numbers of the power settings, turn down the power settings (using the + and -) for level 4 alkaline and level 4 acid levels to the lowest level they will go. 

5. After installing the cleaning cartridge, start the system in H2 water mode and run the machine only until the water comes out the top of the machine or for 15 seconds and then press the power button to turn off the water flow.  

6. Let the machine sit Overnight. 

7. Run H2 water through the machine for 3 minutes. 

8. Replace the main filter.  

9. Go back into the PWM settings  (step 2 above) and set the Level 4 alkaline and acid settings to the original they were before you lowered them for the cleaning process.

Echo H2 Machine: Video

1. Remove the main filter. Install a cleaning cartridge in place of the main filter. 

2. Run filtered water only until the water comes out the top of the machine and then let the machine sit Overnight. 

3. Replace the main filter. Run filtered water through the machine for 3 minutes. 

Echo Ultimate:

1. Remove the main filter. Install a cleaning cartridge in place of the main filter. 

2. Run the H2 water setting for a few seconds, then press filtered water only until the water comes out the top of the machine, and then let the machine sit Overnight. 

3. Replace the main filter. Run filtered water through the machine for 3 minutes.
